The recent agreement on trade relations between the EU and the US is a welcome step to avert the worst case scenario.
However, MedTech Europe remains deeply concerned about the upcoming application of tariffs on medical technology exports to the US. For patients and healthcare providers on both sides of the Atlantic, tariff-free trade is critical.
MedTech Europe calls on policymakers to maintain the momentum in negotiations and to develop a bilateral solution fully eliminating tariffs on medical technology and its essential components. HealthTech Ireland remain in full support of calls made by MedTech Europe and will continue to update our members as information becomes available.
